Have you ever trembled at the strong word of God; fallen on your face to pray?
Have you been humbled, felt like a clod, knowing you’d gone astray?
This is the word for some in this church as they peered into a fiery gaze.
Suffering would now become their bed because of their evil ways.
Here comes Jesus with eyes like fire, whose feet are like gleaming brass
Upon the filth of Jezebel’s lies judgment will soon be passed.
The Word instructs, the Spirit calls out for Jezebel’s folks to repent,
But they continue in their immoral deeds, to the rule of sin they consent.
Sometimes people confess salvation, making a spiritual profession.
But there’s more than talk to walk the walk, to be in the Spirit’s possession.
All true believers become a new creature, the old ways they forsake.
They reject the old patterns of sin’s control, of righteousness they partake.
Pause for a moment, think about your life. How do you draw your next breath?
Is it not God whose mercy and love protects from an early death?
Why do you live the way you do? It is to sin that you say, “Amen.”
How sad you will be in that Final Day if your children are condemned.
So if you’ve been playing at Jezebel’s feet, it’s time to depart evil ways.
It’s about time you humble your heart, look into that fiery gaze.
It’s time for God to cleanse your life, to change your corrupted heart.
It’s time to lead your family to God, a new course in life to chart.
Revelation 2:18-25, 29
"And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, 'These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass:19 "I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first.20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.21 And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. 22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.23 I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.
24 "Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden.25 But hold fast what you have till I come…29 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’ (NKJV)
